Description
Jay Walsh is one of the lawyers for Helen Batchler (see August 20, 1973). Both of the lawers discussed are associates in this particular case involving Joseph Cornell's estate. They both had come to see if I could help them by providing information about Joseph Cornell's relationship with his family and his intentions for his work, and about his understanding of the legality and nature of some of his expectations. The problem is that the estate is a charity trust. And the trust is trying to take the works that Cornell's sisters and niece had in their possession. The trust was trying to prove that the works weren't gifts but were being stored for safekeeping. Jay Walsh was trying to prove the opposite.,Original entry title: Jay Walsh 3 7 74
