Description
In the morning Jon and I went to the laundromat and shopping. Jon locked his keys in his car, so I went back into a store and broke the handle off a paint can, and we got the window open with it. We had lunch at our house (leftover curried meatballs). After that, we went to Hoboken to look for a loft for Jon and Joy. We walked for miles. Someone in an antique store told us about a specific loft. On the way home, Jon and I stopped at that loft and talked with the owner for a long time, and it seemed that it might work out. It's a small loft building attached to a larger factory. Jon and Joy would have both floors. -- May 21, 1974, Tuesday, Jonathan Santlofer. First, we went to city hall in Hoboken to find out about zoning for the loft. The zoning turned out not to be an issue. Then we went to settle with the loft owner, and Jon gave him a check for the security.
