Description
After leaving Gunilla Lunstedt's house, we headed to Jordi Arkö's house in Garsås. Jordi lives in a beautiful house by lake Siljana. His family has lived there for generations, so he owns about three buildings. He lives in is his studio and a house built by his grandfather. His wife is a journalist and was on location in Jerusalem at the time of our visit. Axel works in technology. After visiting for a while, we sat down for lunch. Jordi made us vegetable lasagna, and his son Axel made carrot salad. We brought a Princess Cake for dessert. I had read about these before we left for Sweden and wanted to taste it. Jordi insisted we take the remaining half with us. So we brought it to Richard Galloway's. There was also a selection of flatbreads, one made locally. We visited both of Jordi's studios, and he very generously gave us some prints. We mailed them home from the hotel in Stockholm. At a certain point, we had to leave to get to Richard Galloway's studio. See next entry
