Description
Suzanne Joelson's show opened that Friday The opening was from 7 to 9 PM. Since we stayed over the night before in Manhattan (see last 7 entries in the previous series), we left for Brooklyn from there. Our plan was to get to the opening close to 7:00PM and stay for a while and then head home to Poughkeepsie (Hyde Park). I was meeting Bryce Daniel at the opening. He is a student at Vassar and is working on a documentary about me and an aspect of my work, including 'Groups' so he came to the Suzanne's opening to tape me photographing groups of people at the opening, which I do regularly when I go to openings and elsewhere. When we arrived a few minutes after 7:00PM. Bryce was already there and had his camera set up. He placed a small microphone on my label which made conversation weird. Studio 10 is down the hall from Theodore Gallery at 56 Bogart Street, which was where Joyce Robins had a show a year or two ago. See the previous entry and the following two entries.
