<text>We had arrived in London that morning. We hadn't slept on the plane but we knew we weren't supposed to go right to sleep. We checked into the Chesterfield Hotel and then took a taxi to the gallery. Richard Bevan was at the gallery with his tour group. Catherine (Murphy) talked with Richard and the group. Peter Freeman got to the gallery a bit after us. Laura Lord took Catherine, Peter and me to lunch at Maison Francois. After lunch Catherine and I went to the Courtauld. By the time we left there we were totally exhausted.</text>
