She had started a painting and hadn't realized that the post made it impossible to understand the shadow that the headboard for the rebuilt bed was casting. the rebuilt bed was made by Tim to replicate our bed in the other room (though it was shorter). First he built a protective structure over the bed so that the set up of the pillows and sheet wouldn't get disturbed by anything falling from the ceiling. Tim then put a new beam in the attic and attached it to the sides of the room. Then he moved the beam that was adjacent to the bed setup a bit further out. He then built a support for the ceiling against the wall and removed the beam altogether. When the painting is done he will put the beam back where it was. This job took real finesse.
