Catherine and I had gone to the Farmer's Market in Rhinebeck (see last entry) We bought a large amount of wonderful produce and meat (from Fleishers). We decided to have a regular Sunday (usually we would have just worked all day ), by going for a ride and going to farm stands, etc. When we got home, continuing the Sunday theme, and having gotten all this great food in Rhinebeck, we called Jon and Joy to see if the were available to come over for dinner, they were. So we spent the next two hours cooking dinner, and they came over. The reason for the dramatic and somewhat formal photograph is: Joy brought over a photograph I took of them and had given them a print of, when they were visiting our apartment in Jersey City, NJ, around 1972, so we reenacted the pose. The photograph the pose is based on is in Visitors/1971-1974/Jon and Joy/Possibly 1972.
