Stephen runs the Ox Bow School, and Patti is a chef (worked at the beginning with Alice Waters) and illustrator. We arrived around lunchtime and Patti served us lunch (homemade pizza, broccoli raab with prosciutto). We visited, and Stephen took me on a tour of the Ox Bow School. In the evening, Patti made dinner for everyone. For the first course, we had crab salad on endive leaves. For the main, we had West coast halibut, root vegetables, and a raita sauce, consisting of yogurt, dill, cilantro, and ginger (which was amazing). Daniel, Catherine, and I spent the night. In the morning, Daniel left early to go to Marta's (Renzi) sister's house. Patti made us a lovely breakfast of poached eggs. After breakfast, we left for San Francisco.
