Noisy enough that someone we knew at the next table surmised (by some of the things we were saying) that we were artists and that there was a connection to PAFA. So, she started talking to us, and we were talking to her, and it turned out to be Karyn Olivier, who had come to Vassar as a visiting artist about ten years ago. Both Catherine and I were very taken with her work and her talk at that time. So, we were all excited to see each other. She didn't know Didier or Kelly before then. But she was really pleased to meet them. Coincidentally, it was Lisa Collins (a colleague at Vassar) who had suggested that we invite Karen to come speak.
