The morning of the 18, Sylvia called said she would like that to happen, Also a few days ago Ben Busch called to tell us he wouod be in Maine to watch a trial (too long a story for here) and he would like to stop by when the trial was over and bring us some lobsters. He said he would arrive at night on the 18th or 19th, let himself in and we'd see him in the morning. So, I stripped the bed before turning in on Monday the 17th and washed thge sheets and put them up to dry before going to bed. In the morning, Lieb and I made the bed in the guest room and the spent the rest of the morning working on "Peregrination" and making decisions so that he would have plenty to work on while we were at the hospital. We spent the afternoon with Sylvia until Bob's surgery was over, and were able to see Bob before we went home. We got home in time to see Lieb and for me to feed the cat at her regular time. Ben called in the early evening to tell us the trial wasn't over and that he would get here some time the next day in the early afternoon.</text>

Often other friends too. You will notice a small amount of older color photographs that have erosion damage. There was a period when I was taking 35mm slides. I had taken hundreds of them. Unfortunately, when I lived in the basement of my parents house on East 29th Street and after I had left as well, I stored these slides there. It was a room that flooded from time to time. The dampness eroded and totally ruined most of my those photographs. I was only able to salvage a very small amount of them.</text>

They went to Nice for Elisabeth's sister and brother-in-law's 50th wedding anniversary, and then to Lake Como with friends because they wanted to see Lake Como. Ralph suddenly remembered that he forgot to bring blueberries from his garden (see visitors 2017, Elisabeth Cardonne Arlyck, June 3, 2017) Ralph brought up his film about dealing with getting older and mentioned what he wanted us to do in it. I told them about my entry for Charlie Smith (See Visitors, June 30, 2017, Charlie Smith) that morning. I had written about the possibility of Ralph mentioning his film, and the possible responses. It was all quite funny, and as per what I said that morning, we agreed to do it.</text>
