After buying many plants we went to bill and Arthur's house. We had asparagus sals and drinks and visited. We were going to go the Dragon something for dinner. But it was unexpectedly closed. We got caught in an amazing rain storm. It was extremely intense and the roads were immediately flooded. This went on before lunch as well as after. Many people spoke about various things, political and cultural. The woman in this photograph spoke (this time, she spoke again later) about growing up in Nigeria and as a child give a song to sing by the English teachers who ran the school she had gone to. This was an extremely racist song. At the time she was very young and just so pleased to have been chosen to sing. It wasn't till later as she got older that she realized what the lyrics were all about.
