When I was released from the hospital (see Visitors, EMT Crew, December 25, 2018). It turned out I had no way to get home. I was taken to the hospital in an ambulance, so I didn't have a car and because it was Christmas Eve, none of the taxi companies were answering their phone. I called Mark Briscoe because he lives fairly close to the hospital. He did call me back, but was out in the Hamptons. I kept watching people coming and going and contemplated asking strangers to drive me home, but i didn't think that was going to work. I toyed with the idea of just spending the night in the waiting room, which wasn't all that attractive. So I gave in and called Peter Charlap. He and Shawn came in about a half hour (about 2am) to pick me up and take me home.]]>

Cece and Mack were in the gallery when we got there. They own the Catherine (Murphy) painting, Trash Bags. When Catherine had one of her shows at a Texas Gallery in Houston, Cece and Mack had a dinner party for Catherine and a bunch of other people at their house. See the following entry.]]>

We had gotten to NYC earlier in the day. We picked up William Finn, and the three of us went to lunch- Billy, Cathy (Catherine Murphy) and myself. We dropped Billy back at his and Arthur's apartment. Billy wasn't feeling well and would be having surgery in the weeks ahead. So he wasn't up to joining us going to the Jewish Museum to see the Florine Stettheimer exhibit. Cathy & I then went to some more gallery shows before getting to Peter Saul's opening. Lots of people we know were at the opening. See the following entry.]]>
