I had asked Mark to take a look at a fauxvoix concrete bench we have near the pond. The idea was to see if he could caste another one or two benches like that from wood. A few weeks later he sent me three different scenarios for how he would go about doing this. Because it was so complicated they were going to be very expensive. So we decided not to do it.]]>

Peter called yesterday and spoke with Catherine (Murphy). He asked if it was my birthday. I was impressed that he remembered, and I think we tried to do something together, possibly last year. nHe told Catherine they would like to take us to dinner. We had been wanted to do something with them for the last few years, and for one reason or another it didn't work out. I would run into them at school or at Adams (mostly Peter at Adams). So, we were free that weekend and wanted to arrange something soon. We settled on Market Street in Poughkeepsie, for that Friday. They did take us out to dinner which was so nice of them, and, as expected, had a very lively time. Luckily it was a loud restaurant anyway.]]>
The six of us met at the movies. We went to see Isle of Dogs, directed by Wes Anderson. Then to dinner at Market Street. There was lots of discussion about the film and how it's racist and how it is not. Sam and Lisa hardly knew Ralph and Elisabeth and hit it off well. Sam is a pastor, and Mattie (Ralph and Elisabeth's son) is also a pastor.]]>
We met for dinner at Market Street in Rhinebeck, NY. We had the best meal we have had at this restaurant. Hoping it wasn't a fluke.]]>
