Both of the lawers discussed are associates in this particular case involving Joseph Cornell's estate. They both had come to see if I could help them by providing information about Joseph Cornell's relationship with his family and his intentions for his work, and about his understanding of the legality and nature of some of his expectations. The problem is that the estate is a charity trust. And the trust is trying to take the works that Cornell's sisters and niece had in their possession. The trust was trying to prove that the works weren't gifts but were being stored for safekeeping. Jay Walsh was trying to prove the opposite.,Original entry title: Jay Walsh 3 7 74</dcterms:description>

The exhibition (at this point) is schedule to open January 11th, but there is a problem. The William Louis Dreyfus Foundation has promised "Float" to an exhibition that will be in Europe through the end of May. Peter Freeman has been in touch with Mary Anne about substituting "Float" for a different painting for the exhibition, but was turned down. Catherine is writing a letter to Mary Anne explaining the importance of having that painting for the show in January. Jayne arrived a little after 10 AM so that we could have breakfast and plenty of time to visit in case it was going to be sunny, in which case Catherine would go work on "Pink Float". The day was overcast and rainy, so that turned out not to be a problem. Catherine made blueberry muffins and fried tomatoes, and I made scrambled eggs with cheese and chives for our breakfast. Then, Catherine and Jayne went up to Catherine's studio, and I cleaned up after breakfast and drew for a few hours. When Jayne and Catherine came back down, I took Jayne in to the re-done Dutch Barn and my work in it, which she had not seen before. Then, Jayne and I went to my other studio. Back at the house, Catherine and Jayne talked some more about the show, and then Jayne left to go back to the city.</dcterms:description>

<dcterms:description>2007-03-01 Jeff, . We had to go to Boston the next day for my opening at Gallery Kayafas. So, when the car wouldn't start I was rather tense. i called Al's Garage and Jeff came over. He tried to give it a boost and it wouldn't start. we were getting ready to have it towed to the garage when he looked at the tail pipe and notice3de that it seemed to have snow in it. He proceeded to get the snow out (whiich was packed in rathe dense and deeply) with a screw driver. the car started fine and I was thrilled with Jeff for being so observant and thinking of this. I had probably backed into a snow bank.</dcterms:description>

Cathy (Murphy) really liked it so when we were near out I went on their web site and ordered another gallon. One of my choices for shipping was to have it hand delivered for free if we lived within 30 miles of the farm in Pleasant Valley, which we do. So Jeff came by in the morning to deliver the oil. We chatted a bit. When going over the spelling of his name I said like in Haight Ashbury, then he told me that the man that the Haight was named after was a distant relative and that he had been born in Poughkeepsie. I was also told that their farm was open sometime during the summer fo people to come and pick and buy sunflowers. I imagine we will try and do that.</dcterms:description>
